Practical Sport Psychology for Every Runner
The Mind in Running
Do these mental hurdles slow you down and stop you from enjoying your running:
- Crippling pre-race nerves that sabotage your performance
- Losing focus during longer runs, missing paces or distracted by the ‘what ifs‘
- Struggle to bounce-back from races that didn’t go to plan
- Frustrated by plateaus despite consistent physical training
- Struggling with the setback of injury and what it means for your goals and sense of purpose
You’ve put in the miles, now it’s time to train the mind
Meet Andy: Sport Psychologist & Fellow Runner

I’m Andy Blyth, a sport psychologist who’s as passionate about running as you are.
I combine proven mental performance strategies, coaching and sport psychology with first-hand understanding of a runner’s journey – the highs, the lows, and the mental battles along the way.
My mission is to up skill runners with psychological insights to run with more confidence, resilience, and sense of enjoyment. And maybe picking up a PB along the way.

‘Working with Andy was a transformative process…’
